Shakira - Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)

Waka Waka is the official song of the '2010 FIFA World Cup', sung by Colombian singer 'Shakira' and features South-African Afro-fusion band 'Freshlyground'. The song was released in Spanish language as well, with the name 'Waka Waka (Esto es África)'. Shakira uses words from local African language 'Kiswahili' in between English and Spanish lyrics. The chorus of the song and the words "waka waka" are borrowed from 'Zangaléwa', a makossa group from Cameroon.

The music video shows Shakira dancing along with other dancers in the background. It also shows archival footage of past football matches, including the scene of Italian footballer Roberto Baggio missing penalty shot during the 1994 FIFA World Cup Final against Brazil. It features footages by famous footballers Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and many others. Waka Waka became the first-ever music video by Sony Music to be released in 3D format. It is a popular video on YouTube with over 1.54 billion views.
