Places Where Lightening Strikes Again and Again

They say Lightening Never strikes the same place twice but it could well strike at places in close vicinity. This is true in case of Venezuela’s Lake Maracaibo which holds the Guinness Book of World Records for “highest concentration of lightning” with 250 lightning flashes per square kilometre each year. Similarly Brahmaputra Valley in India, has the highest monthly lightning flash rate. The likeliness of a place to receive too much lightning depends upon the topography of that place and the wind patterns.
