Beautiful Images From Iran
Since few are exposed to anything Iran,I'm hoping my post will enlighten some to the beauty of the country and my hopes we can live peacefully.
# 1 :Nasir Al Mulk Mosque.
It is also known as the pink mosque, known for the vibrant pink color tiles. The mosque was built in the 1880s and is available to the public.
# 2 :Crystal and glass mosques (Shah Cheragh image).
It translated to "King of the Light" and is a burial place for two brothers and has a legend about a light being emitted from a grave yard. Work has been done to this place continuously for at least 1000 years.
# 3 :Shah Cheragh picture 2.
Persepolis used to be one of the largest cities and capitols of the world circa 500BC. Today much of it is in ruin. However, similarities have been found between sculptures here, Egypt, and many other places you would find ruin. It may be due to trade routes.
# 5 :Tomb near Persepolis.
Persepolis was enormous. An estimated 125,000 square feet. This included tombs that were built into the side of a nearby mountain.
It is insanely difficult to tell the size of the mosque without seeing it for yourself. There are no images I could find with bananas for scale, but hopefully this one gives an idea.
Built around the 1600s, this cathedral was dedicated to Armenian refugees. If you're wondering, yes, these are Christian depictions and include paintings from the time of Eden and even Jesus Christ.

# 10 :Imam Reza holy shrine.
This shrine was built after the Imam Reza, and is the largest mosque in the world.Obviously, a common area for prayer and meditation.
